Mediation
Ari Ramras was trained in mediation at the Program on Negotiation (PON) at Harvard Law School by Frank Sander, known as the father of alternative dispute resolution. He focuses on real estate mediations with an evaluative style.
As a former Judge Pro Tem for the Maricopa County Superior Court from 2005-2013, Ari conducted numerous civil settlement conferences. In 2009, he was selected by the Director of the Lodestar Dispute Resolution Program at the Arizona State University Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law to serve on the Foreclosure Mediation Task Force. Ari has also trained mediators for the Arizona Association of Realtors.
Parties heading into mediation often struggle to evaluate a realistic settlement number. To help, Ari built a free Settlement Value Calculator that weighs each claim's likelihood of success, fees, collection risk, and counterclaim exposure to surface each side's expected value, BATNA, and WATNA. It's a useful way to anchor a negotiation before mediation begins.
Ari is currently scheduling flat fee remote mediations via Dirt Mediation.
